I can tell you that the Merrill "heart shot" hunting sight is mounted as per Jack's standards and the instructions in the Bowhunter's Catalog. Do you have the pins? If you are getting rid of it, I wouldn't mind acquiring it. Let me know. CKruse

As I look through the catalog, it appears this camo job may have been done with a set of Bow Camo Stencils that Jack sold for a number of years. CKruse

CK,

I will probably have Rich remove the sight and fill the holes, especially if it is the rosewood riser. If I get rid of the sight I will let you know. Do not know about the pins, will ask the seller.

Well, Rich now has the bow and according to him the riser is rosewood, That is what I was hoping for. Cannot wait to see the beauty when he is done with her in a few months.

I know the Jet camo model is a bit rare but I much prefer the rosewood.

Cameron, I will have Rich send you the sight.

Danny, thanks much - I do appreciate it. I can't wait to see that one all fixed up. I bet it fires an arrow, too! CKruse

DANNY

I am sure you will have a beautiful bow under all that camo.  Welcome to the JACK HOWARDS OWNERS ASSN.  Did you get to shoot it beofre you sent it off?  If so, I know it is a sweet shooter.

We are in the process of acquiring Jack's records.  Once Rich gets thm it is just a matter olf location the card for that seriel number and you will have full information on the bow, including who was the original buyer.

Althought the rosewood JEts are absolutely beautiful, the camo model is a bit faster.  This because the riser is solid hardrock maple whick gives a more rigid riser than the multiple blocks of rosewood.

That rosewood riser with the African Vermillion accent stripe is stunning.

Congrats Danny.  Ya get a good'un

As a side note, Jack's bows use a special string that actually stretches.  These are still available from Charlie Lamb.  He located a source for the string material and was making them with Jack's blessing before Jacl passed away.  The feather rest that was signature for Howard bows is available through Charlie also, but TRAP makes onethat is just as good.  Jack sold them in red and grey, btu I think TRAP will make them in any color you choose.

I have one unused string that Jack made for the Gamemaster Jet that he made for me. I don't have the bow anymore and if you send me your mailing address, I will send you the string.

Jack,

No, did not get to shoot it yet, I had the seller send it on to Rich. Got a very good deal on that bow, quite a bit cheaper than the other Jet I am getting.

Tom, Wow, thank you. Sending you a pm.

Well, you are on your way

WARNING!!!

Once you start with Jack Howard bows, you can never get enough of them

They are addicting.

Where did you find those?

Jack,

I put the word out that I was looking and was offered the bows. I got a really good price on the Camoed one but paid top dollar for the other. Worth it to me though, I have wanted a Howard since I was a boy. As an adult I got to using takedown bows and is pretty much all I own, now as I get older i am picking up a few onepiece bows that I have always wanted.

The string went out in the mail at the Westland Postoffice today. They said that you should have it in about 4 days. Good luck with it.
