Okay Mike,

why did you wrote it is an type-I riser? It has a serial above 1699 and it has the stabilizer bushing!? Am I missing something?!

Anyhow, I DO like it!
Who else?

Hey Falk..I was under the understanding that from ser# 1000 to 2000 were 1970 type1 and after Ser# 2000 was a 1971 type11. Also I thought a bushing was an option in 1970.If i'm wrong so be it, and I learned something today.as a matter of fact I lean something new about this collecting stuff everyday! Thanks for the input Fulk

So true! I learned something right now for sure. Had not noticed the bushings were an option in 1970. I can see it in the catalogue now.

In addition to the bushing I thought the grip was reshaped from type-I to II. Leveling out the ridge below ones hand. Also learned from listening to Bowdoc and/or Alaskabowhunter, that all this was done from #1700 onwards.
I really don't know - but wonder once in a while when I see a riser described different. Had an other person say just the same few weeks ago, with a serial in the A-18xx.

Is there a "definition" by Bear to it or are there just "two schools" out there?
