Aaaaahhhh the '62 Griz with friends help.
« on: October 16, 2008, 12:16:00 PM »
The 62 inch AMO Grizzlys are no doubt the most popular. Many questioned why Fred ever shortened this bow because it seemed to "lose it" when he did.
Of all the 62 inch Grizzlys, I like the 1962. That Zebrawood window contrasting with the rest of the wood.

This is a 1962 Griz I picked up a couple months ago. Wanted to wait to post the pics until she was ready.

Here she is with

A Trap rest
A Raineman string
A Droptine re-do on the pen work, removal of some tape gunk, and a strike plate.

48 Pounder - I really like her.

Bill,

Nice bow.

Does it have the pewter coin which is common to the 1962 Kodiak?

I have a question. First, That is a very nice bow Bill. Now the question, how come no one isn't all over Danny Rowan's old '62 that is on the auction site now. All original except for the leather grip, string, and rest. To heavy?, $$$,?

My guess is $. in this down economy everybody is looking for deals. I paid less than 1/3 of what Danny is asking for mine.

Not saying his isn't worth every penny - just alot to pay.

I have one exactly like that at the same weight.  I am very surprised at how quick it is.  Ken

The bow on the auction site is my old bow but I am no longer the owner. The person I sold it to has an emergency and is trying to sell it. I got what I had in it when I sold it or it would still be on the rack. it is worth every penny he is asking and it is less than what he paid for it.

I agree Danny = you don't see them in that weight very often.

No you do not Bill. I have a 1960 that is 65# which is in perfect condition also, you hardly ever see them in this draw weight. Rich has it at the moment putting a new grip on it as well as a new feather rest.
