Technically, if you have what you consider to be "collectibles" you are supposed to have a special rider on your collection at extra cost. I fear that if anything happens to my 80 bows (some real collectors item)...like theft or fire that just wipes me out...that the insurance company will say I have no coverage because it is a collection. I have had good coverage on shotguns, rifles, and hand guns that were stolen from my home, but they were not per se a "collection" They were firearms that I use.
Of my bow collection, I only use about three of them.
Extra insuance is a gamble. I am betting my collection will be stolen or destroyed, and the insurance company is betting tha it won't. Hopefully, the insurance company will win this bet.
