My 1961 Kodiak
« on: November 27, 2008, 12:04:00 PM »
OK guys here's the pic of the 61 Kodiak I picked up while in WV (along with 2 bucks). I got it from the original owner. I have not "touched it up" yet; these pics are as I received it. There are some superficial scratches on it that I will get out later. Love the Lime Green glass on this one. I also remember Bowdoc saying there were lots of variations of the 61 out there as far as wood types. This one has some sort of I beam construction. It does have the star stamp on it - I guess that detracts from the value, but that was has alot less stress marks than usually found on these 61's.

I haven't shot her yet, but at 50 pounds she should scream.

Later model (black coin) with a figured bubinga ibeam with a standard grain side slabs.Real cool bow.Star stamped ? and the next ? would be do the limbs look to have been painted green very near the original green fiberglass color ? They just look like odd color of green to me from your pic.Good score and great shooting bows.bowdoc

Nice.  I'd like to shoot that one along with just about anything else you own.

Richard- Than can be arranged. You have me over to hunt, I bring my arsenal along, and when the hunting is over - we have a shoot fest.
