An idea about decal/screen print repro
« on: January 15, 2009, 02:22:00 PM »
I noticed in a wood working catalog an ironing tool (gets hot and rub it over something) that is sold for transferring photo copy or laser printed designs onto wood.

(Pg 79 - Penn State Industries - Woodturning catalog.... or at  www.pennstateind.com)

"Imprinting Transfer Wand"

"Personalize pens or wooden crafts with this easy to use transfer system. Simply make a photocopy or laser print of any black and white or color pattern. For text, print or copy in reverse. Place the copy face down and use the transfer tool to iron it on."

Why couldn't we scan or photo the images and use this method to apply to bows?

I think I have one if you want to play with it.I believe I got it from Woodworker Supply. They are using it to transfer patterns onto wood for carving etc..I wonder if it might scorch the glass.
