That bow just recently ended and it was bought for something like $2600.00.Guy is willing to take quite a loss on it for just buying it about 1 week ago.If it seems to be too good to be true,it probably is.Run the other way.

Here's is a little triva for you guy's for today.Last spring/summer at about 1-2 AM one morning I could not sleep. So of coure I was surfing the net looking for deals and behold did I ever find one,I thought.
On said auction sight there was a Bear gold latch signuture bow listed complete with walnut case.It had been shot a few time as he listed in the auc.been shot and I could see a little wear on the strike plate arrow rest as well.
The opening bid was 799.99 or 999.99 you know me I figure what the hell? If I win it for 799.99 or 999.99 which ever it was.I can come up with that money for one of those bows at that price pretty easy.Well I poked a bid no big deal but 2 minutes had not passed by and the seller emailed me and said something like..Thank you for your bid and I see you must really know your bows as this is a rare one..I'am thinking yeah yeah yeah whatever..He writes something to the affect of hey look man I'am in one hell of a bind right now for cash or I would not be selling my dads bow he's really sick.If you would be willing to just purchase the bow right now for 799.99-999.99.I will stop the auction and you can have the bow for I think it was a grand FREE SHIPPING.
Did I say how fast I could come up with the money ? yeah well not at 1 AM because if I woke my wife up at 1 AM and said honey I need to get 1,000.00 bucks out of the bank right away?? I'am telling you you have no idea what would happen lets not go there..so no I could not come up with the money right then to answer the guy yes or no.I told him thank you so very much but I just could not purchase the bow at this time.2-3 hrs later the auc.was gone and I just knew it would be one of my hunting buddies show up with it opening day to rub it under my nose or in my nose.I felt like crap because I kind of knew that may have been my only chance to get a sig bow for that price..I figured I would just never look back and who knows maybe some day.
Now your all setting there reading this and saying so what ?
Do to the fact I'am to chicken shirt to wake my wife up at 1 AM and ask for a grand may have saved me two butt kickings that day.
One was I did not wake my wife up at 1 AM and ask about money OK ? saved butt kicken No.1 Within 5-7 days I got emails from a few collecters I know who were kind of asking if I had been in on the purchase of the sig bow.As mentioned I answered nope did not have the money.
Butt kicking No.2 saved.
Seems the seller offerd the bow to about 7 buyers with the same story.I know of 2 collecters that DID send money 2 that will not admitt to it eather way...and one that said if I ever mention his name and his wife finds out he did not wake her up to get the OK but sneeked the dough out of thier saveings account some how...seems they never got the bow never got thier money back eather. They forward everything to gbay but no money back.Paid with money orders rather then pay pal.Big scam and guess what ? sometimes being to chicken shirt to wake your old lady up is good..bd

A while back I bid on what was a nice bow at a good deal.  Now this was back when we could e-mail the other bidders.  I got an e-mail from a guy saying that he saw me bid ont he bow and wanted me to know that this was a bow that he had won on e8ay about a month before, that he had in his possession.  Exact same acution setup, description, serial umber, etc...only differnce was the seller.

Comes out this fruadulent seller was copying and pasting auctions for bows that went for high dollars, and relisting them with him as the seller.  Turns out that he was doing the same thing with high dollar cameras and other items.

Later I got an e-mail form what wa probably the e8ay police investigating this guy.

This was about the time that al lthe fake auctions started poping up

It is buyer beware on e8ay.  If you get sucked into a fraudulent bid...make sure you pay by PayPal.  Otherwise you are screwed.

That is a big disadvantage to us that we cannot identify and contact other buyers on an auction.  That's why I feel it is important for us to know each others "secret ID" on e8ay.  If I see rainman bidding on what I know is a fraudulent bid, I can warn him.

If I see Trap bidding on a bad bid...I'll let him bid     :biglaugh:  Jes pickin', Trap.

I am Rugerfan...

I always check their other auctions to see if they have a bunch of high end stuff listed for cheap before I consider doing anything. If that is the case, I send fleabay a notice of a possable hijacking scheme on the seller.

Some of these off shore scammers are huge rooms of hired hands in some third world country to try to rip people off. That's their job. Nice, huh? But hey, when your eating roasted dog and rock soup daily, they could care less about seperating you from your money.

Cheers!

OK think of this...when you could email the other bidders I got an email from a well know collecter whom told me the bow I was bidding on was damaged as he was pretty certin he sold that bow to the now seller the year before as a wall hanger. He said the guy must have repaired the bow...I backed off not wanting to get burned...However you will never guess who the high bidder was at the end of the auc. ? yes your correct said collecter. He told me later at the last minute he decided it was not the damaged bow he sold the year before...So he kind of smoked me like a nickle cigar I think I believe he knew it all the time it was not the same bow but cut down on compatition with his bull shrimp story....I have never ever worked on another bow and have not done any business with said collecter since then as that really pissed me off.I would hate to have hard feeling over a bow again.Life is to short to get pissed at your friends over a bow.I think its best if we just fallow gbay rules for now.Nothing personal guy's..actually I have not been buying or selling for sometime myself. So for now I will remain nameless on gbay...bd
