Broadhead collecting book?
« on: January 28, 2009, 12:36:00 PM »
I just started my broadhead collection (Thanx Wade)
and want/need a book to help identify the various broadheads out there.
Does anyone know where a I can get a book or maybe a web site that displays collectable broadheads?

When I started my collection I couldn't find very much info online when it came to identifing old heads. There are a few sites with pics of great collections like the one our fellow TGer Falk has.
Joining the ABCC will put you in touch with alot of great guys who have the same goal, adding heads to thier collection. The ABCC also has a collection of The Best Of Broadheads that can be purchased. Then there are Wades 3 books. The two on broadheads, old and new and a fish point book.
If you go to my profile and click my home page I have been working on a page with pics of heads I have. Its in the works but there are 130 some heads with most of them labled with names but no ABCC #'s, 20 or so bows and some hunting pics. We still have dial-up and posting all those pics seems to take forever.
I only have about 2900 more broadhead pics to post if I was to cover the ABCC Master List ! ! !Good luck on your collection.
                            Thanx, Shep

Don,
nice start you have on the broadheads. Good photos!
If you crop your photos as tight as you can to the broadhead the file will be smaller and load faster.
There's a new "Best of Broadheads"book this year.

Thanks Ron, I did resize them but I didn't think of croping off the extra background. I still have 60 or 70 more the add but I need a few more hours in the day.
The last time you sent me your trader list you had a tanged Eagle Talon listed. Do you still have it and what would it take to get one. I'm also looking for the last of the four Stovers #1218.000 and a few heads to add some color to my collection.
                             Thanx, Shep
