Last bow needed from my home town (Nel Grumley glass bows )
« on: January 31, 2009, 07:29:00 PM »
Hello Guys, Man is it a very small world out there any ways as some of u know I have a friend who made bows back in the 1950s from the help of Nel Grumley. Mr. Grumley helped my friend Mr. Bulter make his first bow back in the 1950s Not only did Mr.Grumley help him make a bow but also made 4 bow forms for him to make his bows on. Well I have all 4 bow forms now. Well here is the story Mr.Bulter made only 6 bows and only sold one of them. before friday nite I had the 5 of them. Well friday nite as I was walking back to my pick up ( Kzoo Bow Expo ) I walk by a guy selling bows. One of the bows was calling my name so I went back to take a look I all most went nuts. Because here was the last bow my friend Mr.Bulter made and it was only $30 out the door. So this bow was made on one of them that Nel helped Mr.Bulter make the forms. Also Mr.Bulter grew up and still to this day lives in the same town as me. So u talk about a great day of bowhunting ( Looking for used bows as I call it )....

U all take care and enjoy your weekend..

Cody

Cody - Glad to hear that you got the forms and the bow... I'd always rather be lucky than good.
