cacciatore - I make all my own stings and have never made nor used an all Fast Flight string on any of my bows. The string on the Jack Benny A is 16 strands of B-50. What you see in the photograph is the Braided Serving .026" Fast Flight. I use this serving because it holds up to a lot of abuse.
Danny - Sorry, but I don't want to part with the Jack Benny A right now. It's not really a handsome riser, and certainly not a serious collectible or valuable item as it was refinished, but makes for a good hunting riser. I'm not planning to use it anytime soon, but if I feel I want to use it at some point in the future, I know it is there and will perform. I'd much just keep it than have to find another someday, if I wanted to use one again.
If you are looking for a first year Grayling T/D, just keep checking the auctions, it seems that several show up in the span of a single year.
You might even what to start a thread... something to the effect... "Are any 1st year Bear T/D risers available for hunters or are the Bear Collectors hording all of them?"
You might get an interesting response...
Good Luck in your search.
