I still have a couple....
The MTD was based on the Howatt/Martin Warthog "A" model compound riser, so it was just a LITTLE overengineered for a recurve. The limbs were interchangeable with the Cougar recurve (based, obviously, on the Cougar II/Cougar Magnum riser). They were made from 1976 to 1989, when it was replaced in the Howatt lineup by the Hatfield Takedown. The first versions were rosewood and bubinga, while later models were laminated maple or birch. I have a kinda of unique one based on the 1989 Warthog "A+" riser, which was gray laminated birch with zebrawood overlays. Also have a 1984 bubinga version.
Good solid bows. Good luck with it.
