Quick Question
« on: April 16, 2009, 12:08:00 AM »
Hey guys, I've been silently ready along with all your posts here for a while now. Pretty interesting stuff, always loved history. Anyways, I just got a new bow I bought from a guy on here. And man she's a beuty, but I forgot to ask what year it is.
It is a Bear Kodiak Magnum, Serial No. KU30293. I was hoping any of you might know.
Thanks guys.

Hard to tell by the serial# alone. Is it green, squareish tips? By the serial it sounds like something in the '70's.

Pics would really help.

In 1973 the bows were green with white fiberglass overlays. The later ones around 1976 started using futurewood overlays.

The reason you don't know is because you are just beginning.  That's why you hang out here...to learn.  Keep hanging out here, research other places, and before you know it you will be teachin' us stuff that we don't know.

Welcome aboard.
