70-71 Grizzly brace height
« on: May 03, 2009, 11:56:00 AM »
Thanks to the knowledge here, I now have an idea what year my new birthday bow is, but I have another question.

This bow came with what seems to me to be the original string, but when I brace it up the string height it 9"--is that right?  That seems a little high from what I am reading.

I am making a new string for it, and am just trying to figure out where to start length-wise.  What say you all???  Thanks.

Ron, I looked through the Bear catalogs on CD and could not find the brace height for this year. I went to  www.fredbear-online.com  and they didn't have the brace height for this year either. I went back through some of the prior model years and the closest one I found was 19671/2 and the reccommended brace height was 7 to 8 inches. I too am curious as to what others find on this. John
