Bear Signature Bow
« on: May 25, 2009, 06:48:00 AM »
Hi,

I have a Bear Signature Bow, serial #31. It has never been taken out of the walnut case. The case and original box are in perfect condition. I even have the original shipping carton with all labels intact. It's a one-owner bow with established provenance...given as a gift by Fred Bear.

I'd like opinions on the current real value of this bow, because it is going up for sale very soon. I appreciate your help!

Kevin

4-6 Grand is my guess.  Maybe more with that serial number.  Do you know who received the gift from Fred?  That may have some influence on the value as well.

2,500.00 - 4,000.00 maybe with things going the way they are.Sig's have not been selling as high priced as they once did.But none the less a great collectable item.bowdoc

The owner is the former president of the Bohning Corporation...now retired. All the documentation is verifiable and accurate. The bow was a personal gift from FB. I figure $4-6k, but that depends on the guy with the checkbook and how bad he wants an original Signature.

I'll say one thing: It's a breathtaking experience to open up the box(es) and lay eyes on one of these bows. This one looks a new as the day it was minted.

I think 6,000.00 may be a bit high as Glenn StCharles personal lefthand riser only sold for 6,000.00 when things were going great. That also was a personal gift to Glenn from Fred.Again depends on the buyer and how deep their pockets are and how bad they want it.bd
