I've recently came across 2 different 58" Howatt Hunters ...yes, Marked Howatt Hunter, but only 58"long.. How common were these shorter versions? Both have ornately shaped Rosewood Riser's as 60's era Rosewood Howatt's did [ BTW, not solid 1 piece risers but laminated Rosewood risers]. Both have shorter Riser's than the Risers I've seen on most "Normal" Hunter's...
They look a lot more like Hi-speed risers, but definitely are marked as "Hunter's" in both cases..
Is $200 a fair price and is this shorter model any rarer and more collectable? Also any idea of the year these were produced? I'll check tomorrow and see if I can guess age by 1 st number in ser#.
