Parallel hole practice points
« on: June 06, 2009, 04:59:00 PM »
A few years back I bought a bag of practice points from a local archery dealer because they
had a parallel sided arrow shaft hole in them that accepted a 5/16" fiberglass shaft perfectly.
They were the last he had and he doesn't remember where he bought them.  Does any know where I might be able to find some more?
They're the perfect point for fiberglass shafts because they totally prevent the point from jamming back into the shaft when a solid object is hit.
Thanks,
Tom I.

I have 40 of them. 100gr. I just tried one on a #7 glass shaft. Snug fit, but I'm not sure I like the lip- I would think they will pull hard from a target?
With my #7 shafts I epoxied about 4" of 1/4" hardwood dowel in the front of the shaft- then sanded a taper.

Raghorn....
The ones I have...only 8 or 9 left....are 125 gr.
I chucked them up in my drill press and filed a bevel on the back end to aid in removing from targets.
