WOW!

From the pics, I counted 23 holes drilled in that bow...which must be a record.

The Swiss Cheese Polar...

Just glad to see that it was a Polar and not a Maple Sight Window 1959 Kodiak.

So my question is, why did he stop drilling? Did the Dremel burn up, or did his medication kick in?

The neat thing is, the "exceptionally possible" bow collector from Germany was after this "Holey" Grail.

Ahhhh the Venerable Bear Recurve, Simple but elegant in design.  Rugged and dependable in performance.

That bow is "living" testament that Fred built them almost "idiot proof"

I envision the owner of that bow as a horrible archery shot with absolutely no hand/eye coordination.  One of those guys that could not hit the side of a barn from the inside.

Through his struggles to be an accomplished archer he bought and attached every gadget sold through the years and attached themto his bow in hopes of someday actually hitting something.

He likely jumped on the wheelie bow band wagon at some point and spent the rest of his life inventing little gadgets that nobody really needs.  Probably retired a wealthy man.

Tony,
I love it (your comment).

Actually is he lost the back overlay and the heel spur and did a little more conventional shaping of the riser it would have a decent profile.  It's one of a kind though.

trap   or he was a wonderful shot that liked to play games, and did.

My buddy and I still laugh about his idea of attaching a cue ball to a cue stick and calling it a stabilizer for his recurve,  then coming up with some loony sight that sticks out three feet, then going to a wheelie 3D shoot, acting innocent.
