Pre '59 Bear broadheads
« on: July 03, 2009, 08:12:00 AM »
I would like to pick up a few broadheads to hunt with this year. How much should I expect to pay for the '57-'59 Bear broadheads?

Does anyone have any they could part with?

Kenny - It is probably best to just quietly look for some expecting to pay some where around the current price of new traditional broadheads (now that is quite a price range for you to consider).

I don't have any extra 1959s to part with right now as everyone has cleaned me out already.

Good news is that a lot of 1959s were made, so they can be found with a little effort.

Keep in mind, that next year it will be the 1960 Bear Razorhead that some guys will be looking for, so you may want to pick up some 1960s if you run into them in your search for 1959s. The 1960s will be good until 2014 when 50th anniversary guys will probably want to use the 1964 model, which is the most common of all the Razorheads and will be good until 2028 for the 50th anniversary of it being discontinued in 1978.

Jon -

These are the different years of production Razorheads, 56, 57, 60 & 64 in the original Bear Boxes.

Hopefully you can see the different combinations of ferrule shape and vent cut out shape of the different years.

Took a new photograph, deleted the first one, then forgot to change the link... sorry...
