Hello guys, I was at a pawn shop a few days ago.. anyways I walked in started looking around and the lady asked can I help you.. I ask would you happen to have any archey stuff.. she stood there thinking and said I think I may.. She said she had some long wood things that looked like dowel rod's with some Alum thing on one end.. As she went to look for them I was looking around and didn't find any thing else.. any ways she came back out and handed me these arrows with alum nocks.. She asked if thats is what I wanted I like sure it.. She said how $.25 for them.. I like sure.. Then as I was going out the door she said I may have one more thing.. then a few mins later she found this Bear Fish point.. I wont tell you how much I paided for it....LOL...
 

 

 

So my finding are getting better... But Guys do you think I should keep thses arrows like this or dip them and add feather's ?.....

Cody;  Those shafts look to be tapered and most likely are from the 1940's. Assume they are sealed, correct? Are they 11/32" dia. or smaller? Might want to check the spine on them before attempting to shoot them.

Yes sir Kelly they are 11/32 taper down to 5/16 at the nock ends and they are sealed.. I forgot to add.. I dont plan on shooting them.. just make them up for looks...

Most old aluminum nocks were turned down from solid rod stock and were drilled with a parallel hole for the shaft.

I've owned dozens of old arrows with aluminum nocks over the years, but don't know of anyone who was molding aluminum arrow nocks.

There were many different molded bow nocks from aluminum or other metals dating back to the 1880s.

Many of the old arrows with aluminum nocks really look cool.

You would probably find that there is a market if you were to sell aluminum nocks with a tapered hole. I don't believe the old style with a parallel hole would sell very well.
