VANDERVEER Bows???
« on: August 04, 2009, 11:17:00 AM »
A bow with the name "VANDERVEER" stamped on it was purchased in New Jersey around 1900.  It is a longbow [not sure what wood it is made of].  Has anyone heard of a bowyer by the name of "VANDERVEER".  The name sounds Dutch.  It could be a New York or New Jersey bowyer.  Perhaps, the bowyer was from Europe.  I have checked my sources for this period but have been unable to identify the bowyer.  Any information would be helpful.  Tox Collector
