Who is still using Bear Broadheads and how you like them?

I shoot the " 64 " and I love them, although I put a chisle tip on them

I use the blue 145 stainless and the lime green 64's with 125 grain steel insert screwins.  They work great but I also put the chisel tips on mine as well.  Felix, you have got me dreaming of that 59.  If you want to try some out, I can send you a couple.  Bhill

I've never used anything else. '64 Razorheads, adapter (I shoot aluminum) and bleeders. Around 150-155 grns. I've used other heads over the years and liked some. I currently have some Magnus I four-blades that may see some action this year but if I had to choose one forever it'd be razorheads.  GY

I will be using the bear heads for elk this year. I have shot two bulls with the bear head and will be on my way to Colorado on Saturday. .....

I would like to use them this year. Not to be too dense but how could I get some more weight on them? I put a few on the scale and they are just over 100 grains. Thanks

Okay, if I must.  I'm going to South Africa in July 2010 but 2011 is open.  However, now that we are talking about Italy, my wife may be able to be convinced to make the trip sooner.  When is the best time and seasons to hunt in Italy.   I would love to hunt just about anything you mentioned, wild boar and all.   You will love the razorheads, easiest bh to tune with exception to maybe the magnus stinger.  Thanks, Bhill

Sorry for the delay to answer but I am travelling troughout the West I did 8000 miles in inless than3 weeks.Anyway the hunting in  italy is generally from the mid of Sep to the end of January.                         to hunt the mountains the best time is after the end of October till mid December

John- the heads weigh about 115 without an adapter or bleeder blades. By adding a short broadhead adapter and the bleeder you should come up to around 150-155 grns.      Grant

You can also use the steel bh adapters.   I use the 125 adapters to get a total of 250 grains but you can't use the bleeders without grinding off about 3mm off of the top of the adapter.   bhill
