Old bow need help ID'ing
« on: December 08, 2007, 02:35:00 AM »
Once a fella brought a bow into the shop..it was a metal riser, but the unique feature was it had a fury riser kind of like a brown velvet covering the entire riser.

It might have a groves...anybody know this bow?

Astro made a "fuzzy" riser takedown and so did Pearson.  The Astro will will have limbs similar to a Wing Presentation 2.

There may be others but those are the two that I know of.

I have two Groves like that. There was another mfgr. that did risers like that for a sort while but the Groves were the bows that started that sort of thing.

I'm heading to hunt as soon as I get some lunch. I'll do it a little later this evening. Got two nice ones waiting for me. We have some snow, and I have snow camo and a nice blind about 18 yards from where these guys are moving. We have 9 more days to see what we can do with them my wife, Laura, has a tree stand about 80 yards from here and the wind tonite should be good for both of us. All depends on which way they come in.
