I have a 68 Super K that only has the weight, 60" and 1968 on it. It came from Grayling when I got it two years ago and it is most likely a lunchbox bow. So, it is possible.

It's interesting that the same seller had two bows that were marked the same way.  

This Kodiak Special Deluxe is marked just like the  63 Kodiak  220482322991  Look for that buyer to be in the race for both bows.  

There is definitely some history behind them.  We'll most likely never know the story.

Cool Stuff just keeps popping up.

Actually he had 3 marked that way. A61 ksdlx zebrawood @45#, the 63 and 60 ksdlx.  I got the 61,wish we new the story!  Dick

Removing and replacing handscrawled numbers is not rocket science, and it is more likely that the same guy scrubbed off the old finish in the same year, let's say 1995.

Anything is possible, but my crap detector vibrated when I looked at this collection.

how's this one check out.Dime in coin hole.However coin will not fit in coin hole because the hole is to small(the size of a dime)this is actaully a 1973 Super Kodiak made to look like a 1972 Super Kodiak............anythings possible and I would not pay over the value of a 1963 Kodiak for that 1963 Kodiak listed.That bow is nothing special and I've seen several with the same type numbering on them.Great shooter but as a collecter I don't think so.bd
