Wing Presentation I ?
« on: September 25, 2009, 08:45:00 PM »
Does anyone have any pics of the Wing Pres.I and what year they were introduced?  I have a one pc. but the label or silkscreen isn't on and really don't know if it ever had one cause the finish is original and in good condition not like someone sanded on it...Could it of had a stick on type and got removed ? Just the weight and length of 69 is written on it... It has some very fancy accents where riser meets the limbs and looks like some very pretty rosewood...Small pointy limb tips also...I can send pics to someone if they could post it for me...I appreciate any info on it...God Bless , Keefer's <")))><

Not real sure about this...but I think...

The original Presentation was a product of Bob Lees's Wing Archery.

I think the Presentatiom I was a product of either Wing AMF or Wing Head Ski.

I know I am walking on thin ice here but I think it was made after the Presentation II came out as a three piece takedown.

Now I know you Wing experts will jump all over this if I am wrong...and I may be.

I think the P I was made in the '70's

Jack, Thanks for the reply back and after I posted this thread I decided to do a search on the Presentation I and one came up on the e**y site and it is a 1959 Presentation and believe it or not mine is identical to it except mine is a 44# and has 1962 written on it...Looks like the same person wrote on mine and this one cause the number 4 has the same style...I thought mine was a Pres.I but it's just a Presentation ...Here's the e**y # 150374567370... Mine is in great condition with out any crazing in the finish...Just a few little marks but almost perfect condition for its age....Thanks again for your help...Keefer's <")))><

Keefer, here are a couple of Presentations in my collection.  I believe thay are 1963 or 1964:

Head Ski Co bought out Wing Archery in 1968 then sold it to AMF in 1969.  Wing Archery bows with a decal were made before 1965. In 1965 they went to silk screening the labels.
Here is a picture of a P-I that I used to have. It was labeled Head Ski Co.  So maybe these will help you ID yours  :)

Gary, The one I have is a bit older then the ones you posted...I don't have the horn riser but a more slim look if you know what I mean...#150374567370 ON E**y shows it perfectly...The closest one of yours that looks like it is the botom one in the first pic...Wish I could learn how to post a pic here...I just can't get the hang of it..Thanks for those pics and those are some sweet looking bows...God Bless, Keefer's <")))><
