Anyone know the value of a 1970 bear kodiak hunter recurve in excellent condition? I'm looking to sell one.

I think the kodiak hunters are pretty common.  If I had to guess, $125-$175.

Might serve better to post this in the history/collecting forum.  Those guys can give you a more accurate value.

Good luck!

I dont know, but you may get a few responses on the Trad history/collecters. Include pics, draw weight, tip color, bow length, color of glass and wood. You may have a hard to find bow or just a regular good one. also you can try a search on the well known auction site that starts with a E..

For a 45# KH, that value of $125-175 is in the ball park if it's excellent with no holes or modifications.  These early 70's KH were some of the better looking ones too.

Depends on the draw weight.  Under about 45 or probably closer to 49 is the lower price range most of the time.  If it's over 50 lbs, most people think "hunting weight" and the price can be higher.

If you search the "e-place" auction site, you can get a good idea what they are going for but it might take you a while to find multiple examples to go by.

Personally, I think prices on a lot of that sort of stuff is down due to the economy and people trying to unload toys for some extra cash.

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

Fleabay prices in the last few months have ranged from $80-160 depending on condition, age and weight.  The earlier and heavier the better.
