Out for the week hunting in Grayling Mich

Hello Guys, I am out for the week I will be heading up north tomorrow morring to go deer hunting for the week... I will be hunting about 15 milles away from the old Bear plant.. I will be using a 1959 Bear grizzy and a 1966 Bear grizzy....I will take lots of pics to bring back I hope I bring home the bacon As Fred would say...

Sweet ... thanks for sharing ... didnt fred have a house on the au sable river ... i grew up in the detroit area and then moved to alaska at 18 and really havent been back since but i remember floating on the au sable in a canoe with my dad and him saying that was freds house as we floated by.

I canoed the Au Sable when I visited the Museum many moons ago and met Fred -- I remember hearing that Fred enjoyed fishing the river.  Good luck with your hunt!

highlife - Yes, Fred had a beautiful home right on the water's edge. In Cody's photograph of the plant, it is just behind the plant in the trees, within easy walking distance of the factory.

If you check old threads, several of us have posted photographs of Fred's home.
