Bear Glass-Powered Cub
« on: October 27, 2009, 10:41:00 PM »
Bow is marked
Bear Archery Company
Grayling Michigan

Lists some US patents and a Canada 1953 patent.

7P5915   62"  43#.

Appears to have original Medallion or whatever it is called. Belly is 'chlorine' green (lol) and back is black.

I was thinking of giving this bow away to someone that won't take care of it. Then I thought maybe it had some value for a charity. Any info out there? oh, bow is in good shape and shootable.

Greg, I think you have a 1967 model Cub and they are good shooters.

Recently, I found a '65 cub with beautiful zebrawood that shoots great and is very quiet.

Collector interest is fairly low, even for a Grayling, so value is not all that great ($50-125).

Thanks for the info. I will give it to my nephew and see if he can get interested in archery. If not, at least I will have tried.

Greg that's a cool bow, and 2 of my kids wouldn't trade them for anything. There's several types of Cub, bear bows. Great starter bow, and a classic. I have 7 cub bows, thought value wise. usually find them around hundred bucks. some more as well. Seems that you have the right idea, let your nephew get a idea what the rest of us enjoy and take him shooting.. Good Luck. CWarberg. And Mr Lon. since that bows a little stout for you, you to should pass it on..lol want my address??

yes that is what I have also but mine seems to be in much better shape. I don't have it with me but I know there are no drilled holes and the paint seems to be great.
