I've got this ol' Pearson takedown longbow

Seems like I have had this bow forever.  Can't even remember when and how I got it.  It isn't really a bad bow.  Only 45# but has cast to spare for most hunting.  Really alot of fun to shoot.

It's an ol' Ben Pearson 2 piece takedown longbow cat# 956.  It's 5'6" in length with maple laminations, plain Jane maple riser, nice glue lines and fade outs.  Green glass on the front and brown belly glass.  Dual arrow rest leather handle.

It's been a back up bow for as long as I have had it although its never had to back anyone up.

Nothing fancy, I don't know if its collectable or not, just a decent ol' bow with no flies on it.

That is a very good bow that Pearson made in the 50's. For a while Howard Hill shot a bow very much like that in tournaments, and endorsed Pearson products.
Hill worked with Pearson on broadheads too. That may be why we never saw him doing anything with Bear; not to my knowledge anyway.
That is definitely a collectible bow.

Nice! Thanks for showing it to us. I wouldn't mind finding one of those myself.
