yes the K would for sure mean 1970's.The last year Bear used the year in the serial number was 1969 of which the number would read something like 9ZXXX on a 60" SK and 9YXXX SK on a 64".
I just picked up a 64" 1970 myself I've not had time to shoot as yet bd

I just finished refinishing my sk strung it up and fletched some 2216 31"5.5"feathers.This is a smooth shooting bow.Shot about 50 arrows. The dacron string needs to be twisted before every session once it gets down to 7.75 I start to get loud wrist slap.Had I known sk came in 64" knowing what I now know I would have gotten the longer bow I was only 13 when I bought it 41 years ago.I am drawing it 29.5 in.  ;)
