I see the one thing that some of the guys have not mentioned, you should think about if you have to take a shot over 40 yd., if you get into a 50 or 60 yd. shot, it may not have enough energy down range if hittimg bone.  But then again, disciplined, and good hunting abilities will take care that, just get in close enough to were you can smell their breath, cool, look them in the eye, that way you know they don't have a chance, close and cozy.

Tadpole: I've been bou hunting twice. Some of the shots taken by us were close...some were not. It will be costing you about 5 grand when it is all over. Be sure you are practice out to 50 yards or so. I was advised to do that by an experienced bou hunter and it paid off. The biggest reason I say that is because if the migration is spotty when you get there and the animals are scarce a shot of 50 yards or so will seem very tempting. It would be nice to have some confidence that you could do it if you had to.
