Need Info On Jim Dougherty Bows!!!
« on: September 21, 2010, 06:29:00 PM »
Looking for anyone who owns/has owned a JD bow (Jim Dougherty Archery out of Tulsa, OK), and if he can tell me any history like "who made 'em?", and "when were they built?" and maybe "can I see some pictures?"...

I'd be much obliged...

Yes, Bob Lee Archery built bows for Jim Dougherty in the late 1980's. They looked just like the takedown bow Bob Lee was building only had JDA decals on it.

Thanks Kelly and ShaftSlinger for the information.  On a lark I decided to see if Bob Lee was on FaceBook and to my surprise I found him and he responded to me!  I showed him a pic of the bow I am looking at and he confirmed it was Bob Lee's bow that he built about 12 years ago just before he started up his own business.  I hope the seller calls me up today and confirms the sale!  Thanks again,  Scott

Well...looks like someone else got it before me.  Learned a lot though about Jim Dougherty!  Thanks again,  Scott
