SUPER GRIZZLY
« on: December 12, 2010, 09:37:00 PM »
A friend of mine told me the other day that the Super Grizzlies, red stripe, and red tips were a limited production bow. Anyone have any Info on this? Mine has Ser#KD10068, 58", 50#, LH. I thought this was a high number for a limited Prod. bow?

Thanks

Limited that they only made the number they made... but.. Super Grizzlies were made in 3 colors-

Midnight black with red stripe
Forest Green with red stripe
Big Sky Blue with red stripe

The most rare (by far) is the blue one because it had bright white limbs and didn't go over as well as the black or green bows that had darker limbs.
None of them were limited production, but the blue is the hardest to find.
What color futurewood is your riser?

I have that bow's twin, KD9625, black with red stripe. I don't think they were limited production, they are fairly common.

I agree with Bill and say the Big Sky Blue is real scarce. Jim

The Super Grizzly has the reputation for being a very Nice Fast Shooting bow... I would like to see a picture of the Big Sky Blue with red stripe.

One of those blue with white limbs sold recently on the big auction.  I kind of regret not getting in the mix on it.  I would like to shoot one of these.  I hear they are nice.  I do wonder how they compare to the green/black ones from 1973 or so in terms of shooting?

I have a black w/red stripe in 55#, it's my very first bow that I bought. I find that I guage all my other bows off of it. Even though all I have is Bears. I think I shoot it the best.

Were'nt the original Super Grizzly's only produced between 1973 & 1976? Does anybody have an idea on the total produced?
