64" Super Kodiak

I have been looking for a 64" for some time now and finally ran into one this past weekend. Light stressing in the limbs and a few bang marks but other then that no holes with straight limbs. These bows seem to be hard to find so I was just wondering how many others are out there?
This one is a 1969 "High Compression Material phenolic with East Indian Rosewood Caps". The catalog also states Fascor limbs.

I recently found a deal on a 60", but I still have an eye open for a 64" though.  I would think these are fabulous shooting bows for those with slightly longer draw lengths.

I have a 1970 64" Super Kodiak.

I have both '68 and '69 Super Kodiaks but in 60" though.  Pretty bows.

These 64" are really nice bows if you have a longer draw.  I've got a 64"/64lb 1968 Super K that looks just like Larry M's.  Very quiet, very forgiving and still pretty fast.

Nice bow! The 64" with my 30" draw is what I like in a bow. I would have already gotten a rug and a string on it and had my way with that limb weight. I do own a few already on both sides of 48lbs and am apt to buy a new one if it is a weight not already on my wall. Hope you like it! I do think it is a good time to find a 64" SK or whatever bow you are looking for, as alot of them are being pasted down now and with the internet they can be found.

Is there any difference in limb design between the '67-'69 model years?  Was the limb configuration also the same as the Fred Bear takedown?

Looks like you found a nice one!  I have a 64" '68 model and love it.  Smooth as silk, and stable shooting.  I've been carrying it as my primary hunting bow all fall.

The '67-'69 all had the same limb design.  Only difference was the '67 had black phenolic horns, not rosewood.

I have quite a few but all 60" long.With my 29"draw they are fine.I love the look the feeling and the accuracy on those bows.

I own 3 64" Super Ks.  One, a 19671/2 at 55lbs., I purchased from the original owner in its original leather Bear case.  It was in absolute mint condition-- museum quality.  Unfortunately, I strung her up and shot her many, many days.  Beautiful, stable and dead on.  Whatever she lacked in speed, she made up for in stability and sheer good looks.  Many times people would stop to marvel at her all black phenolic graceful lines.  A true classic.  I own a 1968 at 44lbs. with rosewood caps and a 50 pounder with... a rare Bear factory camouflage paint job.  I have a stunning 19671/2 60" Super K at 53lbs.  All just stunning in primo contdition.  Also:  I purchased at 1965-66 53lb. Kodiak Special (Lady Kodiak??) in an rare 63" length. In my opinion, the two most beautiful bows ever commercially manufactured were the 67-69 Super Ks and the Wing Presentation IIs.  Just flat-out world-class beauties who delivered on the range and in the field!!

64"  66#  with factory sight.
Seems to be quite a few 64" listed that are heavy poundage. Never tried shooting it but I know my '69 @ 60# / 60" was my shooter for several years.

I have quite a few 64"ers. And, they do shoot very well. I have a 30 1/2" draw, so I like the extra length.
