62 Kodiak Reproduction Classic Wood Combo

I'm thinking of having a 62 version Kodiak Built by a sponsor here.

I was looking for some input on the Wood/Overlay ideas to replicate the 62 Kodiak.  As I was born in 1962 I thought it would be kind of interesting.

Pretty hard to get Brazilian rosewood these days.. Generally considered contraband, but I understand there is a small amount of pre ban around, but it will be dear.

Honduran rose wood makes a nice substitution for the Brazilian rose wood.

Gator1:
Only two choices for bow quivers in 1962 as shown in the photo. The spring arm quivers didn't start until 1963.
If you find a Kodiak and it doesn't have the quiver bushing then you have one choice in a quiver unless you add the bushing.

I have a LH 1962 Kodiak I got because that was the year I starting bowhunting.

How'd you get my bow Jack ? When I saw the pic of yours I had to double check and make sure mine was still here .Mine is a star bow that is 60" and 45 lb kind of had de ja vu for a minute . I have yet to hunt with mine I prefer a bit more weight so I hunt with my takedown at 55lb  I bought my 62 when I was about 17 a friends dad had it and he didn't hunt anymore so I paid I"think" $45.oo for it. didn't know at that time that it was made the same year I was born. Since I found out it was a 62 it has become even more valuable to me and I doubt that I will ever part with it. by the way the #'s that are visable on mine are 27A*148 after seeing yours I've determined the digit under the star to be an H. I personally like the 59's and would like to find an affordable one in the 55lb range. Tall task Huh!
