Help ID this recurve! NAME THIS BOW
« on: January 13, 2011, 11:03:00 AM »
I bought a 60" #45 recurve and don't know who the maker is, can anyone ID recurves and tell me if it has any value? It is a one piece with a mahogony body and dark chestnut front and back limbs. PLEASE help ID this machine. It shoots sweet and is very pleasing to look at. It kinda looks like a Bob Lee, just looking at the pics. SOME ONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Your bow looks like the 60# Root Warrior I have. I bought mine a few years back for $125 and hunt with it. Nice little bow!

It looks a lot like my wife's bow. It is an American Archery model.

Just looking at the style of the riser I would lean more toward Root than American.

I thought all Roots had an I beam construction.  I vote for something else.

American Archery is a very good guess. Root bows had the serial numbers on the lower face of the bow under the grip, or stamped into the riser on the off side, most Root serial numbers start with the model name letters GMxxxx would be a Game Master, FM a filed master. Might be a chetah hunter from around 63 to 67.
