IA Hunter recurve bow
« on: January 15, 2011, 07:55:00 PM »
I recently got a recurve bow, it is a IA Hunter  number282? 52" 50lb at 28".  It has green glass back and belly and a one piece wooden riser.  I can't find any info on this bow.  The guy who gave it to me sid he bought it new in 1975.  If anybody has some info about this bow I would really like to know about it.  Thanks.

Not sure what you have, but here is some info I found on the web.  Indian Archery Company was out of Evansville, Indiana.  The models I can find listed are:

Indian Archery Catalog Numbers

252.….Hunter…..52”.

258.….Bighorn….58”.

261.….Mohawk…..52”.

263.….Savage…..58”.

264.….Seneca…..58”.

266.….Warrior…..62”.

273.….Cochise…..60”.

274.….Deerslayer…..60”

I hope someone can help you with more info.

I have had a few IA bows. The only ones I have right now is a #265...Pathfinder...62" and an old wooden flatbow.

The Pathfinder is a solid Zebrawood riser bow.
