From the 1963 Catalog: "named for the mighty Mongol conqueror and skillful bowman"

In the 50's, the Tamerlane was winning lots of tournaments.  A conqueror's name was appropriate.
no clue how to do this

Alas, lest we forget, that jolly old Tamerlane had a dark side that makes Saddam look like Mother Teresa ...

Wherever Timur appeared, writes the Arab historian Zaid Vosifi, "blood poured from people as from vessels," and "the sky was the color of a field of tulips." Timur himself would stand at the head of each and every expedition, overseeing everything himself. Those whom he conquered he ordered beheaded. He ordered towers built from their skulls, and walls and roads. He supervised the progress of the work himself. He ordered the stomachs of merchants ripped open and searched for gold. He himself supervised the process to ensure they were being searched diligently. He ordered his adversaries and opponents poisoned. He prepared the potions himself. He carried the standard of death, and this mission absorbed him for half the day.

Check out the nice 67 HC30 on ****.

Had I not just given Jim my bow budget for the next year I would be adding it to my arsenal as well.

Buy with confidence that what you see is what you get. I bought the 60 Kodiak without even reading his description I was so confident in its desirability.

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

We could clone Timur, send him to Afghanistan,  and put an end to the situation there.

Yep it's kinda weird that they would name a target bow after such a blood thirsty individual.  It's a cool bow though.

Thanks,

Mike
