two old ben pearson bow question

hi everyone my question is for a my freind who found two ben pearson bows in fathers basement after he passed he was hopeing i could make repairs and check these out not knowing what he had i said sure well here what i have both bows longbow 67" not sure draw wt. both well crafted straight limbs just perfect one stained black bamboo other i just found out paper backed wasn't sure both 1" wide handle, 1.25"  fade .50" tip [ wide ] .75" thick @fade .50" thick @ at tips belly of both bow are well rounded to back then very cleanly finished both bows appear to be made of osage with diffent wood two others making up handle but very close in color also one bow lost its handle wrap and there is a thin piece of handle wood over backing both bows have the same problem someone broke a piece of the nock tip off the belly side of the tip. is this worth trying to repair as i don't know how you could with out damaging value or if thats not the issue i geuss if done just cutting the tips the same and and reform. my only problem with this is safty whats your thoughts thank you very much for your help. lawrence
