Ya i have been here before and done some shoulder damage and had to go to the compounds for a while, i bought a longbow a couple years back and tried to shoot it but my shoulder hadn't healed yet so early last winter i started shooting a recurve and it felt good so i started a transition back to traditional and it seems good to be back to doing something fun again,i have one that i shoot and the special pieces get put on a wall for a special day, i like to bring out a real nice piece to take to shoots and play with it will probably be that Kodiak Super that shoots great and i ordered some B-50 the other day so i can make my own strings, i just wasn't having fun going out with a compound shooting, 90% of the fun was setting it up and after that it was boring, in April when i got laid off i started shooting everyday with my stick and had a room full of compounds and now i am down to just one and if my should every gives up again i have one to play with, i do get addicted to buying recurves and will admit they impress me when i look up and see them and think of the history behind them and the men that built them, a wooden recurve was part of a living thing at one time and has that warm feeling when you hold them, a compond is just a compound.
