Who likes a Dogleg?

I have three listed in the classifieds,  type 1 and 2 Grizzlies, and a very nice Kodiak, the Kodiak is my favorite shooter (with absolutely gorgeous wood in the riser!)

My Kodiak is about to be in the Classifieds also. I shipped too many bows this past weekend that I need to pay for. I did end up with a Black Mountain Sheepeater that was made for Doug Campbell, out of all the trading, that will smoke an arrow.

This is a Type II Grizzly.  4runr fixed the tips for me.  Just got it back.  This bow must have some history.  It has the factory stamped star on it, and had a tip that was badly splintered.  

Kenny fixed that and I tell you this bow really shoots!  I have heard the dog legs were great shooting bows.  I am now a believer!

The shape of the 63s is maybe not the most appealing,but the Bubinga is always fantastic and they are reconised like great shooters.I own a Kodiak type 3 and a KMagnum type 3.Nice bows.

I'm going nuts right now not being able to go hunting for another day!
So I went back and read some old topics.
Found this one again about the dogleg Kodiaks. We don't hear enough about these "forgotten treasures". The 63 Kodiak does'nt get enough respect IMHO. It's a wicked bow and will shoot with the best of them.
Seeing all those great photos of them persuaded me to show mine. My arm did'nt need to be twisted for that.     :D    

The 63' Kodiak is a serious nail driver and I would not hesitate to hunt ANY game with it......Philip

Just realized if you reshaped the riser some it would look just like a super kodiak. Maybe fred knew this was a good design but needed some years to perfect the "looks" category for the public with the SK? Interesting conspiracy theory...

I like Doglegs, especially those recalled Magnums that were made into Lamps...

Floyd Eccleston, of Archery Hall of Fame notoriety, created them, this is Floyd's personal lamp that was in his shop for over 40 years, it now resides at the Arsenal.

Dave, Your quite welcome. I have a few more (4 more actually)that I have since added to my collection since that picture was taken. I should take a new picture. I have sold alot of my bows over the past few months but the doglegs will be staying on the rack!

Type II and III on the KM's is self explanatory, but if they Type I Griz. didn't have a problem,, Why the type II???

Does the handle make the bow a dog leg and if so is a Kodiak hunter considered a dog leg?
