That's a pretty line up there. Living on the left coast is a bit difficult for a Bear collector. It takes me several years to see such nice bows!!
Oh yeah, you know what they say, "Happy Wife Happy Life" You better go buy her something special.....

She is a good one for sure, so I'm going to treat her right.  She's coming with me to Denton Hill next week!    :bigsmyl:    :bigsmyl:

Jack, the Jet does have an original string on it but I am going to have Charlie build me another.  What is the best type of string silencer to use with those strings?  This one just has a couple of tiny puffs of yarn super glued in.  Even with the minimal silencers this thing is pretty darn quiet!

Joe

The second KMag definitely looks like goncalo alves (tigerwood) and has some nice figure.  Some look like a 2X4, but that one is a looker for sure.

Great finds.

Joe

I like catwhiskers on mine, about 2 inches farther out than the end of the fadeouts.  This is closer to the fadeouts than I was used to with other bows.  The catwhiskers work better on my Jets than the wool does.

Jack - I need to get you a picture of that 55lb Jet I just got a couple weeks ago - get this - its UNSHOT.

Chuck - Kelly Peterson and Jack Millet are the Howard gurus around here - they can give you the skinny on Jack's bows. The short answer is - if'n you want a Howard, you want a Jet.

Oh, by the way, you ain't gonna find a deal like Joe's in a month of Sundays.  I think he used up all his luck on that Jet find and we aren't going to hear any success stories from his hunting trips this Fall   :(

If I passed up that deal I'd be kicking myself right now.....  :)

Joe, you are the early bird that gets the worm!

Thanks for letting me take a few shots with the Jet.  They are pretty nice old bows.  Got to shoot a couple classics that night including Mike Mitten's HerdBull II.  Both shot well

That's a really big haul! What do you do when you find 5 more at Denton Hill? I know the bug as I have it. Justifying a buy is hard at this point. Hope to see some nice bows at DH and hope for some self control!

That Jet is almost too nice to shoot. That is just plain cruel, posting pics of bow porn like that, for the rest of us to drool over! Let me guess, no holes in the Jet either...right? The only way this could make us feel worse is if you traded a Samick Sage straight up for the Jet...LOL!!!!!
