Honesty is alive and well
« on: August 22, 2011, 12:17:00 PM »
Here is an Email I just got from Hayslope, this replica coin order was from early June and it went missing in route (USPS) and was replaced by me in mid-July,here are 3rd week in August

"Hi Kurt
We just got back from vacation in Maine and had the Post Office hold our mail while we were away.

They delivered a box full of mail on Monday. The single copper coin that you had previously mailed was in that box. The envelope was a little worse for wear, but the small envelope and coin were fine.

Anyhow, what was the charge for the coin and your mailing address so I can send you another check.

Thx
Tony"

Trad Gangers are a good bunch, Tony we are even.
Thanks for a bright spot in my day   :campfire:

Wow - I thought I'd read this post and be giving kudos to another TG'er about what seems to always be prevelant on this site....honesty, values and integrity regarding some transaction or dealings with another member.......but I find it's about me!

Thanks for the comments Kurt and the rest of you folks.

I find this site a comfortable place to spend time because most that I personally know and have met, as well as those that I've only dealt with in cyberspace, have similar traits.....they treat people as they expect to be treated.

I certainly hope those traits aren't in short supply with this group of folks!

Thanks again and Kurt, I really want to pay for that coin!

"My goal in life is to be as good of a person my dog already thinks I am."  ~Author Unknown

In the years I have been selling them, the only still missing coin is one that was supposed to make it to Michigan, pretty good considering all the places they have been shipped to, I wish I could see all the bows they are in.

Give a kid some arrows or something and call it good.

Thanks guys.  Kurt - I'm sure someone will end up with something somewhere along the way......I'm always giving things away.  I've been thinking about sending a turkey call to Curt Cabrera for Cade.....basically a congratulations gift for winning his division at Muzzy this year.

I think this coin (since I have all that I need) will be saved for next year's St. Judes Auction.  It only seems fitting!  It already has some "mojo" since it finally found its way through the postal system!!
