old bow id

my uncle got an old bow from a yard sale a while back and i was wondering if any of yall had any info on it.

the bow looks a lot like a howard hill, but it appears to be a paper backed osage. it has a black leather grip on the handle and no shelf. on the front of one of the limbs  it has HC

stamped into the backing just like that. i am pretty sure i know what the numbers mean, but if you guys have any info on who made it or anything of that nature i would appreciate it. i will post some pics later today.
