my normal respose would be well kuchie you know what I would say to someone that was pissed at me for real.I would resposed with something like hey here is a wooden hammer and a sand pile.....you know what to do with hammer and sand right ? But I've changed my evil ways.
And I love you man and am very thankful your not pissed at me.I hate asking guys at bear camp to pull some dude off thats beating the crap out of me that is inbeariskin to say the least.No more doungh son your good and eta is gonna be in about 1-2 weeks.I ai'nt gonna get into what got me into the durn pickle I was in but I am out of the pickle jar now and things are looking up bd

Bd, I'll nominate you for Santa's Grand Pooba Elf if you get that riser here in 2 weeks !  You kinda remind me of a crusty Christmas Elf , bad Elf ! i usually get coal but i'll settle for that riser !

Wolfkiss, way too many possibilities without being there..my thoughts : bad form on first shot, sound from something other than the arrow, twisted limb or string not seating properly in groove....would need to be there to rule things out.

I have 3 greenstripes and 2 2000 models.  One of my greenstripes makes that slapping noise with first shot like you mentioned; none of the others do that.
It's not what you kill but how you hunt...
