Question for Bear Collectors?

I cant remember for sure was it 1965 thru 1969 that the first number on the Serial number designated the year of manufacture on Bear Kodiaks? I have a 1964 serial# 10CA112.

'65 through '69 is correct.

1964's were the the first year for the pointed riser. They are a classic.

And before 1965 serial numbers were started over every month.
