Fred Bear Signature Bow
« on: December 12, 2011, 07:35:00 PM »
Fred Bear's masterpiece is on the big auction site once again.
The last one that sold their went for $8900.00

#330653951924

Described as being untouched and complete.
I don't see or read about the booklet that should accompany the bow but the pictures look beautiful and it is listed with NO reserve!

If the auction runs it's full length, it may break records for the LOWEST price for a Genuine Fred Bear signature bow. Great opportunity.

Christmas may come early for one lucky elf!

Good Luck...........Philip

The last one on the auction site was bid up to $3500 and didn't meet the reserve.

We see mint original risers and limbs sell in the $2500 range sometimes.

We are seeing Fred Bear Signature Bows close to those prices!

Talk about a bad economy.......

The seller has sold a number of takedowns and one prior signature takedown that went for 2700.00 in '09. That's according to his FB anyway.

there was a "lefty" on there either early this year or  late last year..I wanted that one but out of my budget..think it sold for an awful lot.. also a guy sold a LEFTY  1970 A riser on another traditional site last week....I asked for pics but it sold before the seller answered my request

The #99 bow is amazing...best looking riser I have ever seen.  This one should do pretty well on there.  Time to start digging behind the cushions on the couch!  Kinda sad some of these bows have never been assembled...do you think that's what Fred intended back in 1982?  Tough one to swallow either way.

Bow is #49...not #99.  My mistake.  Would look nice in a Christmas stocking.  I know Al sent Christmas cards years ago with Bear recurves in them.  A Signature was in one of them!

I know this is an old thread, but...

A Bear #116 Signature TD just appeared on Craiglist with an asking price of $10,000.  I believe the bow is located in Alaska.

I know the gent in Alaska and his ad is not a scam. Its never been strung up and its in the original box. He bought it himself. Longtime traditional archer up in North Pole, Alaska. Too much $$$ for me though.
