Do You Read First Edition Books?

For those of you who collect first edition archery books do you read them or just display/shelve them?
I have a line on a couple of firsts in good condition, but these are books I haven't read yet and really want to before putting them on the shelf.  Guess I could use the cool white glove treatment like you see in the museums        Thanks for the help.

1st, 2nd, 3rd, If it's a book I'm interested in I read what I can get my hands on and add it to my library! With my memory I know I'll be reading it again in the future. That is the nice part about getting older. A lot of that book will be all new again!!

I always read the book.

I use everything I have. Whether it is rare vinyl, bows, catalogs, books, guitars. I use it all for the purpose it was made.

I would add that I am still meticulous with caring for those items that are in exceptional condition, no sense wearing a rare item that is mint out.

If I was not going to read them I would not buy them. They were made to read.

I agree and intend to read them.  I don't buy stuff I don't intend to use.  I shoot all my bows and I'll read those books.  Like Missaukee said I will be very careful with them so they can be passed on in good condition in the future.
