Arrow "testing" kit - anyone interested?
« on: December 13, 2007, 07:11:00 PM »
Man, I'd really like to get my hands on several different arrows and test each.... but don't want to buy a half dozen or dozen of each.

Would anyone be interested in getting in on a purchase?  I'm thinking either 3 people go in on a 1/2 dozen of each, or 6 people go in on a dozen of each - everyone get two of each arrow.

Suggestions welcome, but I would like to test:

Gold Tip XT5575 Traditionals (I have 3555 trads)
Beman MFX Traditional finish
Carbon Express Traditional finish in 150 / 250
Grizzly Stick Sitkas

I'm open to other suggestions too.  It doesn't just have to be the ones I listed.  I just want to "test" without actually owning 4 dozen or more arrows... and only using one dozen in the end.

If you are interested in getting in on a group buy, let me know by posting here to keep the thread up top, and PM me so I can add you to the list.  I don't mind purchasing all of the arrows and shipping them to the others in the group, as long as I have assurances that everyone that rogers up is not going to back out once I order 4 dozen arrows.  That would be the cheapest way I believe - particularly with shipping.

All the best,
Glenn

I would be interested in trying the same arrows you have listed as my son and I have 35# to 50# longbows and recurves. If more are interested we can work something out.
Just because it don't work for you, don't mean it don't.

Cool.  I'll add you to the list, and if we get enough people, I'll send out some PM's to find out how everyone wants to proceed.  Thanks for the response.
All the best,
Glenn

You can get test arrows at 3rivers. A sponsor.

Kenny,
Yes they do offer a test kit.  Thank you for the reply.

However, the "test kits" that 3Rivers offers are only in three sizes of one particular brand - not 4 different brands as I am suggesting here.

I also realize they are a board sponsor.  I will be placing part of the order from 3Rivers, and part of it from Kustom King (another board sponsor), as neither of the two carry every one of the arrows that I was suggesting we test.

All the best,
Glenn
