Bear Grizzly grip / length question???
« on: July 03, 2012, 11:49:00 PM »
I'm asking some hardcore Bear guys to chime in here with information, please! What year did Bear change the grip of the Grizzly from the 50's "low grip" or longbow style grip, to a mod or sculpted grip? I have a 69 Grizz, and while pretty highly arched (compared to older models in the 50's), it doesn't appear quite as high angled as my 68, 69 & 70 & Green(s) Kodiak Hunters. Also, what year was the Grizzly first offered in 58"AMO?
Thanks in advance!!!

The 1963 Dogleg is the only year the grip was similar to a Kodiak Hunter. The 58" grizzly came out in 1964. The model was changed to 56" in 1968-70 and back to 58" in '71 to present.

Chris,

You can see most of the different years in this thread.
