fiberglass damage

I dropped my bow and it landed on a concrete step on the ground.  The top limb sustained some slight fiberglass damage which left a white spot about 1/2" by 1/8".  Is this safe to use or do I need to get it professionally repaired?  I lightly sanded it and the surface is very smooth. It's on the belly side (facing the shooter side).

Any suggestions appreciated and thanks in advance.

I would stabilize the injury with a little Loctite super glue.  If you get it a little too high you can gently sand it down with some 800 or 1000 grit and then put the shine back on with a real thin coat of TruOil or acrylic urethane.
That a pretty small spot so I don't think that you need to worry about the limb coming apart.

You'll be fine. Not as critical as the bending part of the limb. I would do as warpdarrow suggest then drink that glass of wine and move on. You are not the only one who put a ding in their bow. I have certainly done my share!!!

Even that part of the limb has some flex. The glass has been separated from the wood lamination that is why you see the white. You need to get some thin glue and work it between the glass and the wood;flatten the end of a paper clip until it is about pea size- use that to work glue into the joint. Then clamp the area with wax paper between the clamp and glued surface.
Putting glue on top of the bruised area will do nothing.

Loctite glue will wick right into that!! It will still be visible but prevent any future seperation..... The main thing is to get it sealed to prevent mositure getting in.
